Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information MA.labs collects through this website, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. The short version: this site uses the Meta Pixel to measure visits and adverts, and otherwise I only receive information you choose to send me.
1. Who I am
MA.labs is the freelance practice of Mohammad Abdelhai, based in Dubai, UAE. I am responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach me at mohaabdelhai@gmail.com.
2. What this website collects
Meta Pixel
This website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It helps me understand how people reach this site and measure the adverts I run on Meta. When you visit, the pixel may set cookies in your browser and send Meta information such as the pages you view, your IP address, browser and device details, and an identifier that Meta may link to your Facebook or Instagram account.
Meta processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can control how Meta uses it for ads in your Facebook ad preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Apart from the pixel, fonts and images are served from this site, not loaded from third parties.
Technical logs from the hosting provider
Like any website, the company that hosts this site may automatically log technical details when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are handled under the hosting provider's own policies.
The project brief form
The form on this site does not send anything to a server. When you press the button, it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message. Nothing is shared with me unless you actually send that email.
The WhatsApp button opens a chat with me in WhatsApp. If you message me, I will see your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and what you send. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to how it processes your messages.
Links to other sites
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, and other websites take you to services I do not control. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
3. Information you send me
When you contact me by email or WhatsApp, I may receive your name, email address, phone number, company, details about your project, and anything else you choose to include. If we work together, I will also hold the information needed for the project and for invoicing.
4. How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call.
- To prepare a proposal or quote you asked for.
- To deliver, support, and invoice a project we agree on.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
I do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list without your clear permission.
5. Why I am allowed to use it
I use your information because you asked me to (for example, to answer an enquiry or prepare a quote), because it is needed to carry out a contract with you, because the law requires it (such as keeping business records), or, where relevant, because you have given your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. Who I share it with
I only share personal information with services I need to run my work — for example, my email provider, WhatsApp, Meta (through the pixel described above), cloud storage, and accounting tools — and only as much as they need to provide that service. I may also disclose information if the law requires it. If a project involves other specialists, I will tell you before sharing anything with them.
7. Storage outside the UAE
Some of the services above may store data on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. I choose established providers that protect data with appropriate safeguards.
8. How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within two years of our last contact. Information about clients and projects is kept for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as the law requires for business and tax records.
9. Your rights
You can ask me to:
- tell you what personal information I hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, where I do not need to keep it by law;
- stop or limit how I use it, or object to a particular use;
- withdraw any consent you have given.
Email mohaabdelhai@gmail.com with your request. I will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with my response, you may contact the data protection authority where you live — in the UAE, that is the UAE Data Office.
10. Security
I protect the information I hold with secure, access-controlled accounts and keep it only on services I trust. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect it.
11. Children
This website and my services are intended for businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle personal information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
